A Podcast Playlist for Pet Parents
These podcast episodes, along with their descriptions, were curated and written by Jen Moroz (except for the last one).

Furball Confidential
Jen Moroz (er, me) sits down with some of your favourite actors, authors, comedians, and creators to talk about their pets — and finds out what those relationships reveal. Listeners have been loving the episode with Dr. Kwane Stewart (aka The Street Vet).

Ologies
Ethnocynology (Humans & Dogs Through Time)
Clutch (my rescue) and I are big fans of anyone who can make science feel fun, and Alie Ward nails it. The range of -ologies she’s covered over the years is impressive.

Handsome
Even without any dogs present, this three-headed show hosted by comedians Mae Martin, Fortune Feimster, and Tig Notaro is irresistible. They do what podcasts can do best — make you feel like you’re in the room with them.
Bonus: Fortune’s dog, Biggie, makes regular cameos.

Clutch and I start every weekday morning with this one. It breaks down a pressing news issue through a distinctly Canadian lens. We suggest queuing up the latest episode.

Criminal
This one’s an OG! It’s so captivating, and can we all agree that host Phoebe Judge’s voice is the next best thing to a purr?
Criminal defines “crime” in the broadest way and stands out from the rest of the genre for that reason. Plus, it's quirky. This episode offers an alternate theory on a now-famous murder, and the perfect dog-walking track.

All The Right Movies tells the story of Hollywood one film at a time. Each episode is a 2.5-hour deep dive into a classic or hit film – the complete behind-the-scenes story of how it was made, whether it works, and why it matters.
With around 100 hours of research behind every episode, this is film content you won't find anywhere else.
A pet introduces a new rhythm to your day-to-day — early morning rituals, long walks, and plenty of play. This is a podcast mix to match the pace of pet parenting life.

🗑️ In Podcast The Newsletter, Lauren Passell writes… “To get ahead of the 100th anniversary of Black History Month, Nichole Hill dropped a two-part episode of Our Ancestors Were Messy dedicated to the legacy of powerhouse couple Eslanda and Paul Robeson, who fused activism to fight racism, colonialism and fascism all over the U.S., U.K., Soviet Union, France, Spain, Africa, and the Caribbean.”

Podcast news from Podnews
The Washington Post cut more than a third of its employees, including more than 300 of its 800 newsroom staff. We gather that their audio department has been “all but eliminated”. The flagship podcast Post Reports is cancelled - and did not publish yesterday; the show reached almost half a million people a month, according to Podscribe.
A new weekly news podcast in the Netherlands is to be entirely written, researched and fact-checked by AI. High Profile, a podcast made by Airborne Network, is human-hosted (at least, for now), but the company says that the “engaging” show provides depth and context to news. Today’s episode tells the story of Ayatollah Khamenei and the tensions within and around Iran.
UK comedy podcast awards The Golden Lobes are open for entries. In 2025, winners included both solo creators and global platforms; the awards now have a wider number of categories (including a 'Best International Show’ for shows made outside the UK), and the prize isn’t just a trophy, but £5000 worth of prizes.

PodPillow started as a personal fix for its founder, who loved listening to podcasts, audiobooks, and binaural beats, but found lying on their side with earbuds was uncomfortable.
PodPillow is a small, non-electronic comfort cushion that sits under your ear, relieving pressure when you’re side-lying with earbuds. It’s designed for people who listen in bed and want to stay comfortable while they do. It works with AirPods and all earbuds, and doesn’t involve bulky headbands or electronics — just a simple, thoughtful solution to a very real irritation.
