Harsh Reality: The Story of Miriam RiveraSomething About Miriam

This podcast is a look back at an early reality dating show that starred a trans woman — but her transness was kept secret from the contestants until the show’s finale. Made by trans producers and hosted by Trace Lysette, this podcast is an important and entertaining commentary on representation.

Well-Read Black Girl with Glory EdimBrit Bennett on Writing ConfidentlyThis pick goes out to the brain! Well-Read Black Girl is everything EarBuds curators Gretta Cohn and Isabel Carter want from a book club — the book choices are all great, and the conversation gets them inside of books that they have loved. This episode is with Brit Bennett, author of The "Vanishing Half," a book in part about passing and the performance of identity.

OlogiesEchinology (SEA URCHINS & SAND DOLLARS) with Rich Mooi Ologies is all about non-human bodies and the non-humans that live in them. And also things without bodies at all. This recent episode is about sea urchins and sand dollars — and “what it’s like for your whole body to be an eye.”
