Why did you choose this theme? There are many family-friendly and kid podcasts, but most are hosted by grown-ups. It's time to showcase the pioneering kid podcasters behind the mic. There aren't many, and some of them have moved on from podcasting. That doesn't mean to say their content isn't worthy of recognition.I'm choosing podcasts that show the guts it takes to become a young podcaster. These shows are so varied. The common theme is they all give hope for a better future.

Kids LawWhy are Children’s Rights in Scotland the Strongest in the UK?

Alma-Constance (age 12) is determined to help teach kids law at a much younger age to help them grow up into adults confident with legal knowledge. This podcast is co-hosted with an adult, but Alma-Constance is behind the mic loads. What EarBuds curator Seraphina likes about this podcast is the way it helps us understand the legal system and its complex concepts. This episode covers the way that Scotland has given kids the strongest rights in the U.K. The issue about the age of criminal responsibility is really interesting as Scotland raised this age from 8 to 12, but even this age is still younger than in other parts of the world.

Kid CEOCool and Dope: Cavanaugh BellKid CEO Benjamin Wong, a young entrepreneur and visionary, talks to kids who are building their own legacy in the world. Seraphina Speaks: For Children Who ThinkOn Being a Tween: HAIREarBuds curator Seraphina offers social commentary on ordinary, everyday life. Things we take for granted need exploring because so much of life is done as if we sleep-walk through it.Critical thinking is sometimes forgotten, and this show unpacks social norms in fresh ways. This episode tells the story of Bob, one hair that grew to have friends too. There are loads of opinions on pubic hair, but who talks about when it first arrives in our lives? That's why Seraphina had to share her thoughts on this rite of passage.
