Female Focused Health & Well-being: Podcast Recommendations

Why did you choose this theme?

I have chosen this category as less than a third of the most successful podcasts worldwide are hosted by women, and we have stuff we want to talk about!A lot of what we learn about health and well-being is primarily through a male lens (shocking right!?) This has resulted in a lack of education about female health, and in some cases, incorrect diagnoses. Did you know that many women are incorrectly diagnosed with depression, when in fact it was menopause? Or that there are many cases of mis-diagnoses of ADHD, as symptoms in females manifest differently than the better-known symptoms often displayed in males? Or that, thanks to female hormones, alcohol does, in fact, react differently in women than men? I certainly didn't until I discovered podcasts that gave me the information and tools to navigate life as a female, with all the beautiful and painful parts that come with it.
