5 Podcasts That Give You Permission to Rest

Each issue of our newsletter is curated by a different person.

Every "for women" podcast list seems to promise the same thing: do more, optimize harder, finally nail the balance.

I went looking for the opposite — shows that make the case for joy, rest, play, and humor as the point, not the reward for productivity. The hosts aren't pretending they're past the conditioning that tells women to earn their rest. But each one found a way through to something like hope: that you can claim time for yourself even while the world keeps asking for more of it.

This is the first non-depressing thing I’ve heard about Gen Z in awhile. Maybe they are doing better than we think. Maybe they can lead us back toward bookstores, dinner parties, game nights, movie theaters.
