Each of these episodes made me rewatch the movie it defended, which is the highest compliment a film podcast can earn. They make the argument I believe in most: a bad score is where the conversation should start, not end.
I co-host Slept-On Cinema. Every movie we cover scored under 50% with both critics and audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, and then we spend an hour defending it. I picked shows that take redemption sincerely: no irony, no hate-watching, just the case for the defense.

The joyful case that "so bad it's good" is a cowardly framing, because “Road House” is just good. The category-defining defense of the beloved-but-rotten action classic.
